Discover the deeply nourishing and healing power of tallow balm.

What is tallow?

Tallow is purified beef fat, created through a rendering process that slowly heats raw fat into a nutrient-rich, liquid oil. Once cooled, it solidifies & is turned into a creamy, deeply moisturizing balm packed with skin-nourishing nutrients. Grass-fed tallow is rich in essential fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K—key nutrients that support skin barrier repair, hydration, & elasticity.

Why tallow in skincare?

For thousands of years, beef tallow has been used to nourish & protect the skin. Our cell membranes are made up of at least 50% saturated fats—just like tallow, which is 50-55% saturated. This natural compatibility makes tallow deeply nourishing, easily absorbed, & incredibly beneficial for skin health.

Grass-fed tallow is rich in skin-loving nutrients like conjugated linoleic acid, stearic acid, & essential fatty acids (omegas, palmitoleic, palmitic, alpha-linoleic, linoleic, & oleic acid). Together, these compounds create a deeply moisturizing, healing, & hydrating balm that supports radiant, healthy skin.

  • We source the beef suet from local, family owned farms that raise their cattle on a pasture & are 100% grass fed & finished. They are chemical-free, hormone-free, non-GMO, hormone-free, & vaccine-free.

  • Olive oil has been considered a healing salve for the skin since ancient times due to its soothing, cleansing, & moisturizing properties. Olive oil is liquid at room temperature, so not much is need to soften the tallow into a smooth balm.

  • We use essential oils from DoTERRA & Plant Therapy—which are pure, unadulterated, & safe for use.

  • We use all non toxic materials & tools throughout the entire production of making our products. Stainless steel & silicone are the only two materials used when making our small batch tallow balms.

  • We recommend using the Unscented Tallow Balm for babies & small children, especially for those with sensitivities. The other tallow balms with essential oils are diluted for the safety of children. Our children use the lavender scented tallow balm with ease.

  • We recommend either the Blue Tansy Tallow Balm or the Coffee Infused Tallow balm for facial skin care. If you are highly sensitive to essential oils I would start with the Unscented Tallow Balm first.

  • Tallow balm is a naturally stable skincare product with an impressive shelf life due to its high saturated fat content & lack of water, which helps prevent spoilage. When stored properly in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, tallow balm can last up to 1 to 2 years without the need for preservatives.

Grass-fed tallow contains fat-soluble antioxidants, such as vitamin E, which help protect it from oxidation. While refrigeration is not necessary, keeping tallow balm in a cooler environment can further extend its freshness. If exposed to heat, the balm may soften or melt but will re-solidify without losing its benefits.

For best results, always use clean hands or a spatula when applying to prevent contamination, & enjoy the long-lasting nourishment of your tallow balm!
