Experience the ultimate skin healing & soothing capabilities of tallow balm.

What is tallow?

Tallow is rendered beef fat. The rendering process cooks the raw fat, turns it into a hot liquid fat, & purifies it.

“Tallow contains the abundant natural fat-soluble activators, vitamins A, D, and K, as well as vitamin E, which are found only in animal fats & for skin health.”

-Weston A Prince

Why beef tallow in skincare?

Using tallow for skincare is a practice that is thousands of years old. The human cell membrane is made up primarily of fatty acids & saturated fats constitute at least 50 percent of the cell membrane. It just so happens that tallow is 50 to 55 percent saturated, just like our cell membranes, so it makes sense that it would be helpful for skin health & compatible with our cell biology (Weston A Prince).

Grass-fed tallow contains conjugated linoleic acid, stearic acid, & omegas like palmitoleic acid, palmitic acid, alpha-linoleic, linoleic acid, & oleic acid. All of these combined create a deeply moisturizing, hydrating, & an exceptionally healing skin cream.
